I'm looking to try to get a users MAC and/or NetBIOS name when they visit
my website. It somehow can be done, I'm not sure with PHP, but it can be
done.
Does anyone have any idea how?
As an example check out:

On that site, there are tests that will display NetBIOS & MAC addresses.

I found out that the socket in C# can be set in an GGP mode, but what does
that mean, it is nessary for me to enter at mode where it is possible to
communicate with routers, because my application is going to work as an
software router, but i cannot find any documentation or examples of using
the GGP mode on the socket. Do any of you have any examples, or links to
documentation of this mode ???

Is there anyway to get the external IP Address of a gateway/router
that a small LAN is connected to. I currently have a variety of
linkSys and Netgear gateways that I have a variety of windows LANs
connected to... I would like to be able to get the IPAddress of each
gateway.

I had already asked how to get the network settings on the machine and was
told that I should use the WMI interface. I downloaded programs that will
allow me to look at the stuff but I'm not sure which items are the correct
ones to get.
Can anybody give me a direction on where I look to figure out how to get/set
the IP address, gateway, DNS Server and Proxy Server? When I look in one of
the dump programs there is lots of stuff about...

I have Live internet connection terminated on Router.
And router has its inbuilt DHCP having 192.168.0.* network
I have 2 machines, 1 PC and 1 Laptop.
I am connecting both the machines to router to get internet access. as well as intranet (My home network between two machines.)
Previously I get IP 192.168.0.100 for PC and IP 192.168.0.101 for Laptop. from Router based dhcp.
Problem: I can ping from laptop to PC but can not ping from pc to...

Right here goes, we have a secondary gateway on our lan which is only supposed to be used for data replication.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
