Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone can help me with a really annoying problem I have
been having. I made a derived datagrid class that will select the row when
a user clicks anywhere on a cell (multi-select without modifier keys). I
got that working fine, but I also wanted to keep rows selected after a sort,
which I do by storing the row's id in an arraylist. The idea was to do the
sort and then go back and re-select the rows with that...

I would like to understand when a selected cell, selected row or
selected rows in the DataGrid control ends up on the clipboard. All I
know is that the selection ends up on the clipboard, because when I
issue a copy command then paste to an editor, the selected datagrid
cell(s) end up on the editor.
Maybe a better way of stating my question is during what event (e.g.
MouseUp) do the selected cells end up on the clipboard (I...

Ok, I know how to count the number of selected datagrid rows using the code
below. What has me stumped is how to determine when the selected rows
within a datagrid have been changed. The DataGrid object doesn't seem to
have a any type of a selection changed type of event I can grab.
THE QUESTION: Does anyone know how to determine when the selected row or
set of rows within a datagrid has changed ???
This is driving me nuts !

Hi,
In a running C# app with a datagrid control I select all rows in the
dataGrid using CTRL-A, I then paste into some other app like notepad or Word
but the column headings get left off.
Is there any way of including column headings when copying/pasting from a
running datagrid to notepad? At this stage it looks like I have to write my
own code but would rather not if someone knows how to do it.

I have a window application. In one of the form, a datagrid has a dataview
as its datasource. Initial filtering result would give the datavew 3 items.
When I double click on the datagrid to edit the selected lie item at which
case I would pop up a separate dialog box to do so, in the debugging code,
the dataview.count would return 0. I get a error message because I tried to

How do I copy the contents of selected rows in a DataGrid (that is
bound to a Dataset via a DataView) to the Clipboard for pasting into
other applications - such as Excel? Doing the same from a TextBox is
easy via the TextBox.SelectedText property, but I can't find the
DataGrid property to do the same for the selected rows.
