I have a data grid control taht contains a data bound coulmn called "Type".
Depending on the value of "Type" I want to display a corresponding image in
the rendered table cell. So, if the value of type is 1, I want to show
image1.gif. If the value is 2, I want to show image2.gif. Is there an easy
way to do this?
TIA//

I was hoping to get some opinions on the efficiency of various methods of
reusing the same dropdown list data.
Here is the situation:
Multiple panels on maintenance pages with TAB menus across the top showing
different panels. A DropDownList with a 50+ value/text entries exists on
more than one panel but only one will be displayed at a time. Examples might
be US states, countries, category codes, etc.

Hi all,
I posted this about a week back with no response so I want to try
again. I have a weird questions in regards to working with sql image
data types. I know how to take the image type and convert it into a
picture on the screen. What I have is a situation where I need to read
the image data from one database, store it, and then upload it to
another database. I tried storing it in viewstate and in a byte
variable. I don't know if I...

I am writing in c# with Visual Studio 2003. I am creating
a form that shows one record from a Dataset that is
populated with only one record from SQL Server 2000. I am
using bound controls, both text boxes and Combo Boxes
(populated successfuly from same data source).
When I use the fill command for the SQLDataAdaptor I can
get the data by querying the dataset but the controls on
the form do not show the data. If I set a combo box to...

I am somewhat new to ASP.NET. Classic ASP/SQL Server experience mostly.
I have a DetailsView control with a DropDownList on an
EditItemTemplate. The DropdownList shows in place of a bound Textbox.
The idea is to show the user the data in a bound textbox field, but
show a dropdownlist on Edit. The Dropdownlists' datasource is the
vw_aspnet_membershipUsers table in the database showing only the
username field. The selected data needs to go...

After reading a tutorial and fiddling, I finally got this to work. I can
now put two tables created with a DataTable class into a DataRelation.
Phew! And it works!
Dim tblSliceInfo As New DataTable("SliceInfo")
Dim tblSliceRatings As New DataTable("SliceRatings")
'.... All the adding datacolumns, datarows, etc. goes here..
DatasetInit.Tables.Add(tblSliceInfo)

Hi there,
I've been trying to implement a repeater control in an ASP.NET 2 page
but I can't seem to get the layout exactly how I want and I'm not sure
if it's something that I am doing wrong or maybe the repeater control
doesn't have the capabilities...?
The page needs to display a custom number of sections that appear the
same but have different data..

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
