I am absolutely bewildered by now by the Microsoft.Samples SSPI and Security
assemblies. I've been trying to set these up in a very straightforward
harness in the way that I'd like to be able to use them. No IIS. Use TCP,
binary. Standard server example with a console host and console client. .NET
1.1, windows XP. (I tried posting to the remoting newsgroup, no answers in
the last couple days, trying here in hopes that more people watch this...

Backround:
I am trying to figure out how to do the equivalant of a classic COM
Local Server Singleton in .NET/C#. I created a coupld of simple Class
Libs that exposes public interfaces and hosted them in a Windows Forms
EXE. Create a Windows Forms client and both the Client and the Host
EXEs configure the remoting protocols through respective .config
files.
Problem:
I want to change the host from an Win Forms EXE to a Windows Service.

I'm trying to host a remoting app in IIS and am getting the following error:
Failed to execute the request because the ASP.NET process identity does not
have read permissions to the global assembly cache. Error: 0x80070005 Access
is denied.
I tried adding ASPNET to the Administrators group with no success.
The error is preceded by the following warning:

I have created a singleton object just like the example in the 101
VB.NET examples. It works great, only 1 instance ever gets created and is
shared by each client. I have a few questions though,

components.
a) RemotableType object, just like a regular dll with additional remotable
feature.
b) Host Application, which is a listener listens for remote clients of a

I'm using the remoting, and I have a remoting object that has a public event
that other processes should register to it.
But when the client process is registering to the remote event, it throw the

in a remoting application, i set a event in the host, and let the client to
book it, and in the host side i set the TypeFilterLevel to Full and open the
callback port in the client side, but told that these was an exception on the
invoked object.
can anyone tell my why? It is a very simple application just to test, and

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
