I had search in vault of parnassus and PIL, but only can read the EXIF.

A question on using the PIL library. If I take a jpg file then, say, resize it and save it
somewhere else, all metadata that is part of the jpg file is lost. This is a pity: digital
cameras routinely add metainformation, so does, for example, Photoshop.
Is there any way of keeping this info in PIL? Alternatively, is there a simple image
processing package that does it?

Right-click on a jpeg in XP click "summary" tab and there are metadata
fields. My questions are:
How can I extract this data for each jpeg?
Is this exif data is it some proprietary MS format? I see it in my text
editor...
If I have hundreds of images is it possible to "program" this ie. loop
and put data in a flat text file?

We have a problem on a webpage. That page is sent some email data in
base64 format. what we need to do is, decode the base64 data back to

I'm working in C# and need to interrogate a JPEG to get it's metadata.
To test I created a jpg in photoshop and then used it's File Info
dialog to load up all kinds of metadata about the photograph like
author, keywords, jobname,
copywrite, yada yada yada. Now I want to get at that information from
