aspnet_wp error

What means this error in event viewer?
"aspnet_wp (PID: 1556) was recycled because it failed to
ping message" .

The worker process for ASP.NET was re-started.
There is a periodic ping sent to the worker process to verify that it is
still alive and responsive.
If the worker process fails to respond, it is terminated, and a new process
is started up.

The worker process may fail if there is some error in the app code. If for
example, you have an infinite loop in the app, then the worker process may
become non-responsive. Windows will recycle the process in this case.

Hi all. I'm having a nasty problem. A client's website was originally written with classic ASP. They requested a new portion of the site that was deemed a perfect candidate for ASP.NET. So, .NET was installed on their web server and one of the subdirectories in the web site was converted to a virtual application to support the new pages that would be added. The rest of the site was left untouched. New aspx files were added to this...

Hi, I had to fix this problem once before - after allowing microsoft to install a patch on my XP box. It's been working great for a month and now I'm back searching google, reading books, and trying to make it work again. If you try to hit a web page (that has always worked) on this box you get the error:

Hi All, I am trying to debug a strange problem of duplicate entries in my database when I came across the following errors in the event log (see bottom of mail). The web server runs the database as well but it is not hit very hard, I would say there are about 20 request/sec constantly thought the day. The only potentially suspect app is a Linux based program that makes requests to IIS. Other than that I cannot think of any reason why...

On a few occasions, IIS has thrown up a pop-up error message box stating that aspnet_wp generated an error. The browser interface comes back with a web page that indicates Server Application Unavailable and tells me to look at the Event Viewer to get details on the error. All Event Viewer shows is that the aspnet_wp stopped unexpectedly. See below: aspnet_wp.exe (PID: 2060) stopped unexpectedly. Most of the time the ASP.NET web page...

Hello, We are experiencing some issues with the aspnet_wp process on our live servers. The problems are intermittent and we cannot reproduce it on our dev and test servers. Currently around twice a day the aspnet_wp process takes 100% of the cpu and causes the whole website to come to a stand still. We then have to end the process for the website to become useable. Once the aspnet_wp process recycled itself and in the event logs it...

Hi, I have a web service that calls an an assembly on a server. My client calls the web service, the web service calls the assembly... very straightforward. I have noticed 2 things though that I cannot quite understand; A) When my assembly throws an exception (that is handled and trickles back down to the client) and my client goes to invoke another call...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
