Hello All,
I am trying to clean up some polish bugs with the Shanghai game I am
working on and I am currently stuck on trying to get the right event
for detecting when the user has changed the desktop resolution.
I have tried trapping the following events:
1) SDL_ACTIVEEVENT
2) SDL_VIDEOEXPOSE

How do I detect when the font size has been changed (especially by user action: either Ctrl+Scroll wheel or View/Text
Size)?
This is just for use on IE 5.5+, but it would be great if there was a generic solution.
Thanks,

Does anyone know how to detect if a user has pasted code using the
right mouse button into a textarea?
I have fields in a form that autoupdate when text is changed in a
textarea, but if it is pasted using the mouse (not CTRL-V) the trigger
doesn't happen.
I tried onChange first, no luck. Detecting keystrokes and LEFT
mouseclicks was easy enough, and it works for those. But SOME users
paste stuff in without ever typing or...

In my app I have lots of forms with data presented in various ways
using all kinds of controls.
Is there a simple way of detecting if the user has changed any data? I
would like to do this so I could set a boolean value to True and then I
could use that to modify what is displayed on my reports.
In my dim memory is there a dirty property for forms that would do
this? Would that always work for every form? Most, if not all, of my...

I'm using SQL Server 2000 and on my page, I'm simply creating a
SQLDataReader and filling in Labels with the retrieved (single) record.
However, how can I prevent from getting errors when a field is null?
I've tried something like this (experimenting with IsDBNull):
=========================================================
If dtrData.IsDBNull("Address2") = True Then
lblAddress2.Text = ""
Else

Hi all,
Is there any easy way to check a field for calues that have changed on a
post back.
So the page is sent to the user, the user changes some values and I need to
know which ones changed.
Is the only way to do this to go through all the fields and check them
against their old values. In which case, would I need to store the values in

Hi All,
I have a Form which has three tab controls and each tab
control has text boxes and combo boxes and Data time
picker etc, totalling up to 50 instances in all three tab
controls. How do I inform the user if any one of the
instances is changed in any tab control to save the data
before exiting the application?. I don't want create the
text changed event handler for all 50 instances. Is there
an easy way to do this?

I want to fire an event when the user changes text, but I don't want to fire
it when the program changes the text. This must be a very common thing to
do, and I was wondering if there was a better event to use. I know there is
MouseClick but the user might not actually change anything. Any ideas?

Is there a general method for detecting that a user has changed the
record currently visible on a form, whether this is by hitting PgUp or
PgDn or clicking on a navigation button, even if no change has been
made in any control?
I'm thinking of a situation in which a number of records have been
entered on a form and the user is cycling through them to check the
data entered. I want to be able to detect this and update certain
information...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
