first slot: any name you like
second slot(host): the name of the mysql server, can be hostname or ip
address, but make sure you can ping the machine from where you start mysqlcc
third slot: the password
ok, access denied? go to mysql command line:
check if the machine you start mysqlcc is indeed listed in the granted
list. or do: GRANT USAGE on * (if you are the root and would like to get
all priviligies on mysqlcc) TO the_user_name@the_machine_of_mysqlcc \
identified by 'the_password' with grant option;
its always the case that the machine is not granted the priviligies, and
thus denied access.

I'm trying to get the GUI to connect to a remote mysql database from my
client machine. What is the proper syntax for this in the GUI? I have
tried everything with no luck: using the ip of the host, using the complete
dns hostname of the host, using root as the user, using root@hostname as the
user. I keep getting access denied for every attempt. I'm sure I am using
the correct password.
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Version info is 0.9.4 beta.
