I see nothing on the mysql.com site abnout certificaiton for version 5.0
yet there's a book for it
Good question. I picked up the book too, and it looks very nice, both as a
study guide and as a general document from which to learn MySQL 5.0
features.
MySQL uses Pearson VUE (
http://www.vue.com/) for their certification exams.
The information I found on their site after a few minutes of browsing seems
to have no information specific to MySQL 5.0.
I would assume that they just haven't completed the certification exam for
MySQL 5.0 yet, or else haven't updated online information about its
availability. All these steps take someone's time and attention.
You could contact Pearson VUE or your local test center (use "Locate a Test
center" at
www.vue.com) to find out more information, or register for an
account on their site and get announcements by email.
