I am building an invoicing database. I have no problems searching for
due dates and generating the invoice header. The problem is generating
the invoice detail.
My customers may have more than one item that needs to go into the
invoice detail table.
For example:
customer #123 has 2 items that need to be placed into the detail
table.

I can't get my head around this:
I want to select all IDs from table A that do not have a related record in
table B according to some condition:
Table A contains, say, Parents and table B contains Children. I want to
select all Parents that have no children called "Sally" (this is a noddy
example, reminds me of being at Uni again :) ).
Any ideas?

I need some help.
I have this table with alternate row colors. Class gray and class
white. I have javascript that do highlight when mouseover row ... and
onclick to select row and highlight it with another color. Also created
a class called "Selected". You can only select a row at a time.
My problem is, if a row is preselected, when mouseover the selected
row, the selected color is screwed. Until you click on the selected row
once, the...

Hi,
I can't understand why mysql allows me to grant lock tables to all
tables in a particular database, while it fails to accept the same
command applied to a single table only. I've tested on MySQL versions
4.1.20 and 5.0.33 (both running CentOS 4.4 linux on Intel-32) with
exact same results.
Whats wrong with grant lock tables on a single table?

I have coded multiple select statements in a single stored procedure, and
when I execute this procedure on SQL Server Management Express, I correctly
get multiple result sets. But, if I try to add a new Data Source to to my VB
2005 project, and point to this stored procedure, the data source wizard only
sees the 'first' select statement. Is there a way to load multiple tables in
a DataSet from a single stored procedure with multiple...

I'm a VERY novice SQL user. I've got an Access ADP project connected to an SQL 2000 Server.
My dilemma is that I have a single table that stores all data for my particular project, with links to other data tables, of course. I need to get a set of data for every client that has an entry in this table. The condition is, if an invoice entry exists, I only want records where the WorkDate is the same, or newer than the newest invoice (...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
