I have a MySQL table with a datetime field that stamps the time the user
submitted the form. It works and looks like this:
$sql = "INSERT INTO table
VALUES(....now())";
On another php page to view results, the code:
printf("<br><td> %s</td>\n",
$newArray);

Hi,
I'm trying to do some Custom Paging technique with the datagrid object and
with the select command in Sql, thus forcing the server to only select those
rows from the database that should be rendered in the datagrid object.
This works fine with the code I have in MsSql2k but now I'm trying to do the
same with MySql v4.1 database and it doesn't support the 'TOP'
command/function/clause and I'm looking for some equivalence in MySql...

Hi,
I just migrated my web app to .NET 2.0. Part of the app creates some
business objects from a MySQL query which is returned by a web service.
Some of those objects contain DateTime properties. Using .NET 1.1 soap
serialized a DateTime always in the ISO8601 format. e.g.
"2006-01-27T07:42:11.3014976-08:00". Now using .NET 2.0 suddenly the
DateTime objects instanciated from a MySQL query get serialized as
"2006-01-26T18:40:56". Only...

Hi. I have ran into a weird thing I just can't find any solution for. I
have googled and searched but no luck.
The problem is that when I select TIME values from MySQL from python, I
get wrong results when the TIME values are negative.
From mysql program:
mysqlselect id,flex from Users where id=2;
+----+----------+
| id | flex |

I'm using PHP with MySQL 4.x and was having trouble converting a
datetime from MySQL into a formatted string until I ran across this
solution that converts a YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS string into a Unix-style
timestamp and then formats it.
$timestamp = "2005-04-06 15:43:34";
$time = strtotime($timestamp);
print date('Y-m-d \a\t H:i', $time)."\n";
However, it seems kind of counter productive. After all, aren't people

Hello
Can anyone point me in the right direction for the way to read a text file a
line at a time and separate the fields on that line and use them as data in
an INSERT to add a record to a mysql table. Then read the second line in
text file and repeat.
Thanks for your time

Hi guys,
I'm a little confused with dates.
Ok, all I want to do is store a date in MySQL as a datetime object and
be able to read and format it using PHP. My datatype in MySQL is
DATETIME and I'm inserting a date using the MySQL function now(). So
far so good.
When I var_dump() the value from the database it says it's a string,

Hi All
I have started a little pet project to learn python and MySQL. The
project involves figuring out all the combinations for a 5 number
lottery and storing the data in a MySQL file.
The file looks like this;
+----------+---------------------+------+-----+---------
+----------------+
| Field | Type | Null | Key | Default |

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
