I've been thinking about passing parameteras using references instead
of pointers in order to emphasize that the parameter must be an
object.

Perhaps 'modulescope' or 'module' would be better?

I had a discussion in the other day about the usefullness and validity of
the following (non-std) C extension in PICC:
static bit BitVar @ 0x20*8+0;
This would mean that a static variable, named BitVar will be located in the
memory at address 0x20 at bit 0. (Note, that this C compiler is for an 8-bit

Many times we have a bunch of enums we have from either different enums or
the same enum that will have various numeric values assigned. Rarely will
there be collisions in numbering between the enums. These enums you might
imagine would be like OrderPrice=27, OrderQuantity=50, OrderSide=62. There
may be a lot of these. So normally what we would have to do is store these
in hash table so hashtable=value could be set with the value....

Well, It's 4:10 on Friday Afternoon and I am now in a state of
turmoil.......
I've just spoken with a trainer (who's opinion would be in far higher regard
than mine), and he's just told me that the way I expected to write an tiered
application is tight-coupled and should be written loosely coupled..........
I am kind of new to multi-tier application programming, although I have good
experience of classes, and objects.

All my pages are created dynamically. So I have a controlholder control, I

loadcontorl. It is a bit complex. At the beginning, I turned of viewstate,
everything work just fine. Then I need use multiview and retain data between

I come from a background of Java and C# where it is common practise to have
one class per file in the file/project structure. As I have understood it,
it is more common practice to have many classes in a Python module/file.
What is the motivation behind it, would it be a bad idea to have a guideline
in your project that promotes a one class per file structure (assuming most
of the programmers a background similar to mine)?

i have to implement a server,that every n-seconds (eg. 10sec) sends to
other clients,which files and directory has been deleted or modified.
i build a n-tree, for each files on harddisk there's a node into n-
tree,
this solution is not good for large hard disk..
and i can't use inotify (it's forbidden),
and only c solutions are accepted

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
