Hi,
It's no problem to define the automatic maintenance using the wizard
but I want to use commands to automate automation. I captured the SQL
statements when activating the maintenance but that didn't help.
I couldn't find anything about it in the docs so if anybody could
help with this it would be great.

updated on a daily basis. I would like one of my tables in Access to
update automatically so when an employee is hired, my access table
reflects that new employee that was added to the Oracle DB.

Maybe this feature is already out there.
I guess you could write triggers to do some of this.
Often when designing a database I add a start_date and end_date column
to the table. The start_date is when the record was created and the
end_date is when the record expired. For UPDATES, I populate the
end_date and INSERT a new record. This allows you to track changes
though out time.
I do this so often I thought it would be a good idea for...

Hi. I have automatic statistic update turned on for all my databases. Is
this an overhead I can do without? Could I update them overnight when the
database is hardly in use?

My App has 10 or so tables that we provide that contains proprietary data.
This data will need to be updated once or twice a year.
I would like some comments, suggestions on my proposed strategy for updating
these tables via an ftp site:
1) Post a .mdb file to our ftp web site that contains the updated tables. My
App code connects to the ftp site and gets the file name for any update files
on the site. I already have code to do this...

Hi I have this code which i thought was perfect maybe a bit of a mess but it works. The only problem is that the rst!PONo does not look at the table properly and generate a continuing number, which i fine but i would prefer it to fill in the blanks plus carryon from the last record in the table.
