From a html file I have something like this:
<a href="showtable.php?table=clients&col=lastname"><b>Mysql
Table</b></a>
This is a general mysql table viewer for a database.
showtable.php displays the table in a browser fine. It uses the
'clients' table and sorts it by 'lastname' passed in on the command
line. The sorting is done by "order by". So far, so good.

Hi all
I have a sorting problem, but my experience with Python is rather
limited (3 days), so I am running this by the list first.
I have a large database of 15GB, consisting of 10^8 entries of
approximately 100 bytes each. I devised a relatively simple key map on
my database, and I would like to order the database with respect to the
key.

HI all,
I am trying to migrate a database from mysql to mssql2k. I use myODBC to
connect to mysql server to pull the database from DTS and insert in to sql
server. But in mysql server, there is one huge table. Size of it is 1.3 GB
and more than 12 million rows.
While I try with DTS, it transfers all tables in the database except this
huge table. First I thought it would be the resources of the computer not
enough (512MB physical ram...

I wonder if you can help me.
I have setup an address-book database in Access XP. I have the first name &
surname as separate fields. As I wanted to sort my database by surname and
then by first name I had surname before first name when I created the
fields of my database..
To do the sort (in table view) I highlighted the two columns (fields), in
this case surname and first name, and selected sort. Access then sorted the
database by...

I have a table in an Access database that has no sort applied in
Access. When I fill a dataset with data from that table (the entire
one dimensional table) my dataset is sorted differently than the
database. This would not be a problem, and really isn't a problem
except that it means I have to search the dataset each time I want to
find a particular record instead of just storing a variable. Which
brings me to a different question....

Hello Members,
I am setting up a photo website. I have decided to use PHP and MySQL.
I can load jpeg files into the table (medium blob, or even longtext)
and get the image(s) to display without a problem. I am using
chunk_split(data) and the base64_encode and base64_decode on the files.
I do a select from the database, and then echo the image (with
header(Content Type: image/jpeg)
and the decoded image displays fine. Yes, I have...

HI all,
Can someone explain this sorting issue?
we are using V8 on Windows, but database *might* have been created
with V7 (I can find out if it really matters)
I have a table with one column, data VARCHAR(255) . It contains three
values : 1729_at, 1773_at and 177_at.

I am reposting a question from about 3 weeks ago ("sorting capability").
I have an aspx page in which I get the data from a database dynamically,
through C# code, by creating a dynamic table using TableHeaderCell and
TableHeaderRow.
The data is binded to the table by using a DataSet and Data Reader.
The responses on the forum made me think that it would be easier to sort the
data in the table (when clicking on the header column), by...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
