For the following query, I have a little problem ...
First, I have to rewrite several times the same query because the
alias are not recognised in the same query ( I got an error when I try
to reuse the alias "nb_bogus_leads", for instance). Do you have a way
to avoid this ? Because If I do so, the same query is calculated twice
....
Second problem, the most important :
The A.id should be for each result returned in A.*, and there...

Hi,
I've got what I think (probably incorrectly) should be a simple SELECT :
Two colums with data like
col1 col2
1 50
1 51
2 50

I am having a problem with a query,
I am not sure if i would use a join or a subquery to complete this
problem.
I have two queries, and i need to divide one by the other, but i cant
seem to get any
type of join to work with them.
Here is the situation.
I have a projectDB table that has a list of different projects for
each employee to work on.
Each project has an employee assigned to it.

Greetings
I have been trying to write a script that will list out the size of each
user table in a specified DB. I am running into a scoping problem when
trying to format my display. I am sure there are several ways to derive the
results. My method won't allow me to
select count(*) from @tab_var
as it barks that I must declare the variable @tab_var.

Folks,
We have an SQL statement that was coded in an application many years ago
(starting with DB V2 I think). When I upgraded to UDB 8.2, the optimizer
does not use optimal path to access the data.
It takes about 4 minutes to get the data. In previous versions it was
instantaneous.
What do I need to do to increase the performance?

Hello everyone,
i just upgraded my old postgres-database from version 7.1 to 7.4.2.
i dumped out my 7.1 database (with pg_dump from 7.1) as an sql-file with
copy-commands and to one file using insert-statements.
after initalizing and starting postgres 7.4 on a different port and
datadirectory, i tried to import the sql-dump with the copy statements.
this import fails, but importing the dump-file with inserts took a long
time but was...

I previously posted about a problem where it seemed that changing the
case of the word "BY" in a SELECT query was causing it to run much much
faster.
Now I've hit the same thing again, where basically almost any change I
make to how the query is executed (so that it still performs the same
function) causes the performance to jump from a dismal 7 or 8 seconds
to instantaneous. It's a very simple query of the form:
SELECT Min(MyValue)...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
