I set up a replication with MySQL 4.0.13, it works very fine, but
unfortunately only for several hours (between 10 and 30 hours) Has
someone an idea why the replication stopps?
Thanks,
Moritz

Hello everyone,
I recently setup replication, the master and slaves appears to work
fine initially. After about 6 hours, the master mysqld process will
start to consume 99% CPU and the load (avg. load per minute) will go
to 3, 4, 6, 15, 24, 56, 312... in a matter of seconds! The master then
stops responding and needs a reboot. This problem is reproducible, I
have tested a few times.
This is a screenshot of "top" command just before...

Dear community,
for some reason the post I sent yesterday night still did not show up on
the mailing lists. I have set up some links on the developers side under
http://developer.postgresql.org/~wieck/slony1.html
The concept will be the base for some of my work as a Software Engineer
here at Afilias USA INC. in the near future. Afilias is like many of you
in need of reliable and performant replication solutions for backup and
failover...

Hi all,
I am looking at a problem we encountered with replication. Our front-end and
back-end are Microsoft Access 2000. We have a design master at the server
and replicas at five notebooks. The notebooks are synchronized daily by the
users via a form that uses Microsoft Jet and Replication Objects (JRO) and
this works well.
I have a few questions about this:
1. A problem occurs when two users change the same field in the same record

I came up with a replication configuration that is basically the result
of
all the restrictions of replication as well as the restrictions of
allowable software on work PC's and I was curious if anyone would point
out
any flaws or possible problems with the design.
I'm limited to Access 2000 professional edition (Thus I cannot use
indirect
sync or internet sync) and cannot install anythird party controls (i.e.

all,
I've just tried to re-start a replication process and the slave's
tables came up marked as crashed. I'm doing a repair on one of them but
there are a lot of databases/tables so I can't check them all (or is
there a table entry somewhere that flags crashed tables?) Here is the
sequence I used:
On Slave (FreeBSD-6.0):
Stop slave using stop slave

can Asynchronous Replication support multiple times, example:
I want some tables replicate every 20 secs and some tables replicate every 12 hours every master site (In oracle Multimaster replication 10g),But local master database propagate instance. I didnot use synchronous Replication, because it is not good way.
Can anybody help me? Plz.

ONU (Optical Network Unit) is one of the key components for providing high-speed Internet services. Its primary function is to act as an endpoint device located at the user's premises. However, people are often confused as to whether an ONU can Work As a Router. In this blog post, we’ll explore What is ONU, What Is Router, ONU & Router’s main usage, and What is the difference between ONU and Router. Let’s take a closer look !

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
