How to clear error state from connection?

Hi,
At start of my application I create one connection object then use
that connection for retrieving ,inserting ,upedating and deleting of
data. While closing the application i close the connection.
My problem is when there occurs an error in one step, i can't
proceed next and ignore that error. e.g if i get error while inserting
data, i can't correct the error and insert again because I always get
the old error message even for new query...

Does my logic and approach is good? Are should I get new connection
for each query?

My Environment. MySQL ++ (MySQL++ 1.7.1 for VS by
lazyfox),Window s/Linux OS clien/server.

Regards.

Dilbir.

Let's say I have this: std::string s1; std::cin >> s1; This will read s1 from cin until it finds a space (or a newline, whichever comes first). Okay this works. But when I want to continue reading it reads what's left over in the cin, and well that's logical.

I posted this in response to a previous thread but have not gotten any replies back... Hopefully someone has an answer? From looking at sections 27.7.3.2 and 27.7.1.2 of the standard, it appears str("") does not clear the stream bits. It seems to me that in clearing the internal buffer, one would intend that the stream bits would also be reset (in a good state). Is there a reason this is not the defined behavior? Aside from a slight...

I've created a data access layer for a .NET web application. I'm using C# and framework 1.1. I'm getting an error from time to time when I close a connection saying: System.InvalidOperationException: A connection pooling error has occurred. It doesn't happen each time, the exception is thrown randomly. The big problem is that the connection is left active in the pool. After a short period of time, the pool is filled up and people...

Hope someone can help. We are trying to deploy an ASP.Net 2.0 application to a 3-node webfarm. The application uses the ReportViewer control in local mode, hence we need session state. Because we dont wan't a single point of failure we use SQL Session State. I have setup a persistant sql session state database on a SQL 2000 server (this is a cluster in production, so no SPOF) I have setup our web.config files to include; " <sessionState...

Hi, as a bit of background (and seeing as it is my first post :)) i am a complete newbie at perl. I literally picked it up a week ago to do this project as it seemed like the best choice for a language to connect to a SQL database in a Unix envirment as well as script parsing so there is more than likely a ton of things i could have done a better way. I have been at this for 3 days now and cant for the life of me work out why the code is...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
