Hi there,
I have a small question:
I have a table with lots of rows in it. Of course all have a different id,
but each can be assigned to a certain category. Categories correspond
with 1 - 10.
So a row looks like this: 'unique id | 4'
What i want is to do a count how much rows belong to a certain category.

I am new to subselects, and what I really want is to do them in an update,
but the following shows a simpler select, that also doesn't seem to work as I
think it should. Advice? Do I just misunderstand how subselects are actually
executed?
(This is on mysql version 4.1.0-alpha-max-nt.)
First, here's the tables in question:
mysql> describe m;

Hi All,
A total Newby with, possibly, a daft question? However, until I can get a
reasonable explanation I am disinclined towards going further. Here goes:
I recently downloaded the latest stable release and once activated it
requested access to the net. Without access it would come up with
recognition and 'localhost' connection errors?
Can anyone please tell me:

I'm developing with CF 5 and SQL Server 2000. I think they are both
great products. The major draw is their cost. I don't develop stand
alone products because anyone that wants to purchase them must also
purchase CF Server and SQL Server. So I run them as a hosted service.
MySQL is supposed to be free. If you are using this product, how do
you like it? What are you using for a front end?
I'd like to move toward developing software that...

Hi.
I have to use a database in my c# program.
For that I created a MySqlManager class.
If it is being instanciated a connection will be established like this:
odbcConnection = new OdbcConnection(connectionTarget);
odbcConnection.Open();
(where connectionTarget is a string describing the database access)

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
