fill MySQL table with PHP

Hello, I don't seem to get the following right.

In the following I try to fill a MySQL table named 'mutation'. The first
element is a date but MySQL sees this as 0000-00-00 instead of the
date 2002-11-01. Other problem is the textstring in
$_POST['verklaring1'], in MySQL this stays empty.

Can anybody help me with these problems, what am I ding wrong ?
<?php
$query = "insert into mutation values (2002-11-01, 1, 4, 1, 4, 10, 330 ,
' $_POST['verklaring1'] ',\N,\N,\N,\N)" ;
mysql_db_query( "projects", $query);
?>

Thanks, Edward

2002-11-01 is supposed to be string, so it should be inside '' characters.

$query = "insert into mutation values ('2002-11-01', 1, 4, 1, 4, 10, 330

Also do:

echo "My query is: " . $query;

To see how your query looks like. You might found out the reason why
verklaring1 stays empty.

I want viewers to compare state laws on a single subject. Imagine a three-column table with a drop-down box on the top. A viewer selects a state from the list, and that state's text fills the column below. The viewer can select states from the drop down lists above the other two columns as well. If the viewer selects only one, only one column fills. If the viewer selects two states, two columns fill. Etc. I could, if appropriate, have...

I have 2 tables t and t1. In this case, t1 is a copy of t. I want to delete rows from t1 based on criteria on the t table and a relationship between t ad t1 (in this case the id column). In the results below, I would think that the delete should have deleted row 1 {1 5 me) and not row 3 (1 5 they) when I run this statement delete t1 from t, t1 where t.id = t1.id and t.id=1 and t.name = 'me'; Any ideas on why row 2 is deleted?

I would like to create data model for a group of stores. All stores in this group are very similar to each other, so it is natural to allocate one MySQL database per store. Each database is going to have very similar set of tables with content related to a particular store. Let's suppose each store has multiple departments which are also very similar to each other. In this case I would like to model the departments

Hello, I have a client (customer) who asked the question : "Why would I buy and use UDB, when MySql is free?" I had to say I was stunned. I have no experience with MySql, so I was left sort of stammering and sputtering, and managed to pull out something I heard a couple of years back - that there was no real transaction safety in MySql. In flight transactions could be lost.

Hi there I've noticed some very weird things happening with my current MySQL setup on my XP Laptop, a development machine. For a while, I have been trying to get the MySQL cache to work. Despite entering the required lines to "my.ini" (the new my.cnf) through notepad AND MySQL Administrator, the cache does not work. So, today I took a peek at the 'Health' tab in MySQL Administrator.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
