What is wrong with my syntax here

The Mysql Page says...

"the `_' and `%' wildcards are allowed when specifying database names
in GRANT commands. This means that if you wish to use for instance a

I thought this problem would go away over the Christmas holiday, but
of course it did not. I'm trying to write a stored procedure
incorporating wildcards, so I can search for variations. Example, if
name 'Smith' is submitted, sproc should retrieve all records
containing 'John Smith', 'Zenia Smith', 'Smithfield & Co.' You get the

Is it possible to use wildards in SQL to drop a constraint on a table?
Thanks!

Is it in the cards to permit wildcard use with the GRANT command; i.e. GRANT
SELECT ON public.* TO user;?
It would make it easier to set default permissions across a database.
Not a priority but an ease of use feature.
Thank you

I need to import a text file pretty much daily. I download the file
and change the name to a standard name and then run the code to import
the file into a table in my database. The problem is that the file
starts with a standard name but adds the date and some other stuff to
the end of the file name. Is there a way I could use a wildcard...

I have a form with several ComboBoxes. One of these is Surname, can I make
it select all the Smiths for example by using wildcards? At the moment my
query only picks up the individual Surname selected.
Perhaps I need to re-work my form, but any ideas would be welcomed.

Question:
I can't seem to get file.exists(filename) to return true when I search using
wildcards, and I know there's a file in that dir with that extension.
here's the path
dim yesno as boolean
FileName = "D:\Documents and Settings\Lou\My Documents\Visual Studio
Projects\Lucky7\Lucky7\bin\*.txt"

Access 8 on Win98 and WinXP
I'm having trouble with wildcards in the .Filename property of the
FileSearch Object giving different results on win98 and XP. I've been
successfully using FileSearch in win98 to fill an array with filenames with
no problems since about 1998.

If I use the 'any' element in my schema to allow elements from another
schema to be used in instance documents based on my schema, is there a
way to force that the contents of that element must be an entire,
complete instance document for that other schema?
Let's say I have the following schema:

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not.
