I want to add a 'nullable' foreign key to a column in a table. I have
tables "company" and "project" which may be related by
company.companyID <-> project.companyID.
project.companyID is allowed to be null. However, when someone tries to
delete a company which is still referenced in "project" I want a
constraint restricting deletion.
I tried:

I'm building my first MySQL database and come into trooble when trying to
create constraint integrity.
I'm trying to get it work by hand (notepad) but thing that it would be
better to create the tables using a graphical tool, but I can't find any for
MySQL.
Please help by giving me URL's for graphical tools (if possible free) that
manage constraint integrity.

Hi all,
Can anyone help me with structuring the data in a small tool I have to
build? I'm trying to work out if there's a design pattern or data
structure that would remove some of the dependencies.
I am designing an animation tool.

Being somewhat new to Python, and having a tendency to over complicate
things in my class design, I was wondering if anyone can suggest a
simple graphical or flowcharting tool that they use to organize their
class and program design? Because of a 55 mph head-on accident a few
years back, I have short term memory problems, so flipping back and
forth between pages of code is next to impossible for me to keep
straight. A simple graphical...

Hello,
I was wondering what the approximate minimum age to learn python is. Has anyone had
experience teaching middle school students, or elementary school students Python?
What brought this up for me is thinking about starting a Lego robots group in a local
middle school. I only teach college, and have little experience with middle school
students, so I find it hard to guess what they could actually do. I started
programming when I...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
