Hi All,

I have recently installes mysql -4.0.0.1 on my redhat 7.1 machine . After
installing when enter into mysql it gives me message " Access denied for
user root@local host .......using password yes"

i have tried all the options like

#mysql -u root -h localhost
#mysql -u root -h localhost -p
#mysql -u root -h localhost -p mysql
#mysql -u root -h localhost test -p
#mysql -u root -h localhost test
#mysql -u root
#mysql -u root mysql

but none of the option is working at all.

Please any idea how i can change the root password or enter the mysql after
fresh installation
