MySQL compiletime errors with --with-debug=full

Hello,

I am trying to report a bug, and I would like to compile mysql with =
debugging enabled to provide further information, but I receive compile =
errors. I would like to resolve the compile errors before I report the =
possible bug I have discovered.

I am running FreeBSD 4.8, and I attempt to compile mysql-4.0.13 with the =
following configure command: ./configure --with-vio --with-openssl =
--with-debug=3Dfull (the initial bug I wanted to report is related to =
openssl so compiling with the ssl and vio options is essential).

I then try running 'make' but I get a lot of undefined reference errors =
- so I have piped the STDOUT and STDERR to a file available for download =
at: http://www.no1.com.au/~adamc/makeoutput.txt hoping that someone with =
more C/C++ knowledge than myself can offer some insight.

Thanks in advance,

Adam Carmichael

Hello! Curious if anyone could give me a hand. I wrote this PHP script with makes a simple connection to a mysql database called firstdb and just pulls back the results and displays on the webpage. Here is the script. I appreciate any light that could be shed on the script and why I would get the errors. Thank you,

I have a rather complicated query with a combination of LEFT JOINs and two MATCHES where the first match is non-boolean to get the accurate score, the second to search as boolean: SELECT image.id, image.image_name, (MATCH (image_name, image_alt, image_location_city, image_location_state, image_location_country) AGAINST ('test')

I'm pretty much a newbie on mysql, and I need some help. I am running mysql Ver 12.22 Distrib 4.0.24, for portbld-freebsd5.4 (i386) on a server hosting an active website. The site's developer uses his own php shopping cart to receive customer orders. The configuration was done via cPanel with no external modifications - which produced no protests when built, ran and connected with no

Hi, is it possible that due to OS crash or mysql itself crash or some e.g. SCSI failure to lose all the data stored in the table (let's say million of 1KB rows). In other words what is the worst case scenario for MyISAM backend? Also is it possible to not to lose data but get them corrupted?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
