Hi there,
I have an issue with tsearch. I'm using tsearch as a search mechanism on a
website making various queries created from the words that a user has put in.
So I query for all the words put in combined with a logical 'and' and also a
query with all the words combined with a logical 'or'. In the 'and' case
stopwords are correctly ignored whereas in the 'or' case they are not
apparently, e.g.
select 'tax&and&work'::mquery_txt;

Hi there,
me again. How do I find the stopwords that tsearch uses in its standard
configuration? I've looked at contrib/tsearch/dict/porter_english.dct and get
a feeling it's somewhere in there but I can't decipher it. Any suggestions?

How can I remove the default exception handler handler?
When adding a custom handler, I can't get rid of the VS.NET unhandled
exception dialog.
Ex:
AppDomain currentDomain = AppDomain.CurrentDomain;
currentDomain.UnhandledException += new
UnhandledExceptionEventHandler(MyHandler);
MyHandler gets called AFTER the default VS.NET unhandled exception handler

Is that even possible?
I am creating a web service in .NET to expose some already created .NET
programs to other groups. One group is writing the client in PERL, and thus
wishes the wsdl schema to not be sequenced. (PERL hashes do not retain order
information) First, the w3 specs don't mention the sequence in any detail -
its just there in the examples, which makes me wonder if removing the
sequence tag is even supportable. Second,...

Hi everyone. I have just been making a JavaScript chat applet, which
should open in a new child window. It does all of this fine, and works
within Firefox beatifully. However, IE thinks it's necessary to stop my
iFrames from spaning the entire length and width of the Window, and add
about 7-8mm of padding/margin to the inside of the Window.
I can't figure out, whether it's adding it to the inside of the window,
or the outside of the...

I have created a custom class with both value type members and reference type
members. I then have another custom class which inherits from a generic list
of my first class. This custom listneeds to support cloning:
Public Class RefClass
Public tcp As TcpClient
Public name As String
End Class
Public Class RefClassList
Inherits List(Of RefClass)
Implements ICloneable

I wanted to know if there's any way to create a method that takes a
default parameter, and that parameter's default value is the return
value of another method of the same class. For example:
class A:
def __init__(self):
self.x = 1
def meth1(self):
return self.x

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
