I have a problem with an C# application. The application is a 24x7 low volume message processing server. The server has a single thread of processing, running in a continuous loop, for each iteration thread sleeping for 5 seconds and than reading textual message files from a Windows Folder and applying them to a database.
From an external view, the server appears to have a memory-leek, continuously consuming RAM in a near linier fashion as...

I have a Windows service that's built with .NET. The process is meant to run
in the background and not suck up too much CPU time. I set the thread
priority for the various threads in the service to Below Normal, but I'm
still getting reports that the service is making a noticable impact on
overall machine performance.
I stuck some Thread.Sleep calls in a various places in the code, but that
doesn't help much, since the service makes...

Does anyone know of a way to pin point true memory utilization on a per
object / allocation basis in dot net.
The problem that i'm having is projecting the amount of memory that will be
required by an application.
Obviously there is a component size (i.e. a class that is using 2 32bit
integers will use 8byte) but then there is a question of overhead for .NET
management (i.e. vtables, lookup tables, garbage collector pointer on a per...

I have a C# application written as a Windows Service. It spawns a
number of threads, each thread has very large memory intensive
processes running on it. I can keep adding threads as long as the
"committed byte" utilization of the server stays below 2.5 gigs As
soon as we go over that amount we receive "System.OutOfMemoryException"
exceptions. I'm not sure what causes the 2.5 gig limit but we
consistently hit it on all of our ...

I am working on an application note to provide instructions on how to
use a real-time file replication application to provide disaster
recovery for DB2.
I basically need to know how to identify what files need to be
replicated for the default databases and others that are mounted. I
would greatly appreciate any offered assistance.
Thanks!

memory utilization increase?
This is because when i try to keep track of the CPU utilization and memory utilization of my FTP server process (ftpserver.exe), the CPU utilization increase, but the memory utilization decrease. Why is this happening?
PS:
CPU Utilization is taken from Process\% Processor Time
Memory Utilization is taken from Process\Working Set (I want to measure the physical memory it uses)
Any help is appreciated....

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
