I'm trying extract a count of consecutive numbers, or "unbroken" years in
this case, at any particular given time.
For example (simplified):
CREATE TABLE #Customers
(
CustNo INT,
YearNo INT,
IsCust CHAR(1)

Hi,
(V8.1 Fp2)
Our application uses JDBC batch to execute mutiple insert statements
and we saw a strange thing this morning.
There were 4 SQL Insert statements in the batch, and we know the 2nd
would have
violated a Unique Constraint and failed, but the SQL error returned
was related to the 3rd statement (which had a FK dependent on the 2nd

I have to execute fairly large batch files (200-300MB) with several million
INSERT commands.
When I do that from pgsql using the \i switch, I get the echo
INSERT 0 1
for every single insert statement of my batch file.
Since I assume that this slows down the whole process I would like to know
if there is a way to suppress that echo and only get error messages and

Our application currently interfaces to SQL Server and Oracle, we're
implementing it into DB2 currently and I have a question to ask.
First a little background - We're interfacing into DB2 v8 on zOS (I
hope the terminology is right - ours is a Windows client app, and the
DB2 is at a customer site and they are taking care of the server),
using ADO with the IBM OLE Db Provider (IBMDADB2). We don't use any
vendor specific APIs, instead we...

Hi all,
I hope someone can help me out. I need to return the best available seats subject to the constraint that the seats are side by side (or return X consecutive records from a table column where the values are integers). I can do this programmatically (using code and stored procedures), but it's not a neat solution and there are also performance issues.
Returning the best available X number of seats is very straightforward. But I...

I am not sure how to explain this so I will try to the best of my ability.
I need to be able to produce 1000 labels from access that are based on consecutive numbers that Access will produce.
Here are some of the criteria they are looking for:
Need to be able to produce labels on demand – generating at least 1,000 labels at a time.
The program will know what the last number used was so when they print the next batch of labels it...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
