Hi folks,
I have an Access 2000 db with a memo field.
Into the memo field I put text with bold attributes, URL etc etc
What I need to to is converting the rich text contained into the memo
field in plain text.
That's because I truncate the string text but if, when I truncate it
there's a rich tag the code following the truncated string is corrupted.
Don't know if it's clear enough.

I like to announce you the product X2U, avaible under
http://www.lumrix.net/x2.
X2U is an acronym for "XML to user". Existing XML editors still ignore
the fact that users don't want to read XML markup. Our view is: Not
users have to align to XML, but XML has to align to users.
X2U allows users tp fill out simple web forms, which are automatically
derived from XML models. The XML model provides the XML structure and
an interface...

Since Access automatically highlights all of the text in a text
control (I use it to hold data from a memo field) when the control is
activated, I've added the following code to put the cursor at the end.
Private Sub txtCapability_GotFocus()
‘ Placed either behind the OnEnter or GotFocus Event of a control
named,
' in this case, txtCapability, on a form ensures that when the control

Given HTML text (likely from SQL), is there any method that could be
employed to render server and/or custom controls that are contained inside
of that text? I would be loading content from a database and would like to
'expand' the server controls. Possibly even recursively.
Hope this makes sense, but I am guessing the answer is no.
If this is something that can't be done, I am looking at creating my own
markup tags and searching for...

After upgrading from Visual Web Developer Beta2 to the final release
version, web forms that contained GridView controls set up for data editing
stopped working properly. No error is produced but the editing changes are
not committed to the database (I am currently using SQL Server 2000). I have
also created completely new web forms with the same result. Has anyone else
experienced this problem (or anything similar) or does anyone have a...

Access 2003, using a bound form.
I'm seeing rather annoying behaviour when editing data in a control
with a default value. It only happens when the form is on a new
record.
A specific example: on my form, the first control is bound to a date/
time field and has a default value of now(). When users need to change
this control's data, they'll most commonly need to alter the time part
leaving the date as is. But, on a new record, when...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
