Dear Programmers
I try to install mysql version 5.0 and I encountered with a problem
when I tried to start the service. I got error 1067.
I checked the log file and saw the following records (which doesn't
tell anything to me):

I have checked that the service uses the right my.ini file by starting
it with the command:
mysqld --install MySql --defaults-file="C:\Progra m Files\MySQL\MyS QL
Server 5.0\my.ini"
I have disabled my firewall (so it cannot be a problem of fire wall).
Did anyone have ever solved this problem?

uninstall your mysql
delete all the information of mysql in the regedit
delete the service of mysql in the regeidt
reinstall your mysql

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock'
Its a problem with permissions. Try this from the terminal, it worked
for me...
sudo chmod 1777 /tmp

I am having hard time with installing MySQLdb on Linux.

"MySQL-python-1.2.1_p2.tar.gz" from sourceforge. The README file
