Hi,
I want to know if I have changed a few records in my database using update /
insert / delete methods, how can i later know which rows have been changed
or modified ?
I know the ExecuteNonQuery method which can give me the "number" of modified
rows, but which rows are changed how do I know ?
Any ideas ?

I'm implementing paging through search results using cursors. Is there a
better way to know total number of rows under a cursor than running a
separate COUNT(*) query? I think PostgreSQL is bound to know this number
after the first FETCH, isn't it?
On a side note, why queries using LIMIT are SO terribly slow, compared to
cursors and sometimes even ones without LIMIT? Shouldn't LIMIT be internally
implemented using cursor mechanism then?...

I have a main table of rows, and I created a query to put the customer
ID code and the product ID code for each row. But in the query results
I have a substantially less number of rows than in my original table.
There should be the same number of rows as in the original as all I
added were the codes.
Does anyone know what happened to the rows and how is the best way that
I can determine what's missing?
Also, is there some access tool...

I've seen several posts that begin to address this problem, but have
not found a simple, elegant solution that will accomplish this goal.
The important part of this solution is that it must be completely
dynamic - I have over 40 different categories of devices, each with
different fields, and each search will return only one category. I
have no knowledge of the number or datatype of these field names
beforehand and must use the sp to...

Hi SMART GUYS,
Please help me write a query. Actually I want to convert my rows into columns. Can anyone kindly give me the query to do it? My rows are about employees. There can be any number of employees (in the following table I have 3 employees ABC, EFG, WRI) with any number of records for each employee (there can be 20, 30 records each), but all employees have the same number of records (in the following table each employee has 3...

I have a stored procedure that will execute with less than 1,000 reads one
time (with a specified set of parameters), then with a different set of
parameters the procedure executes with close to 500,000 reads (according to
Profiler).
In comparing the execution plans, they are the same, except for the actual
and estimated number of rows. When the proc runs with parameters that produce
reads that are less than 1,000 the actual and...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
