I am having problems with the HAVING clause. I know it can use aliases
but the alias I am using has a space in it, eg 'Device ID'
My querry looks like (simplified, devID is a calculation)
SELECT devID AS 'Device ID' FROM tblDevice HAVING 'Device ID' = '123'
and it does not work
but if I use
SELECT devID AS 'Device_ID' FROM tblDevice HAVING Device_ID = '123'
everything works.
How can I use an alias that contains a space in the HAVING clause?

*WHY* does the alias have a space in it?
Use backquotes, not single quotes, to quote field names.
Use single quotes, not backquotes, to quote strings.

MySQL uses back-ticks `` as the default identifier delimiter.
Try this:
SELECT devID AS `Device ID` FROM tblDevice HAVING `Device ID` = '123'

So I'm trying to make an application that currently works with MySql,
Postgre, etc... work with DB2.
THe problem I have, is, the varchar column only goes to 32k. CLOB goes
bigger, but at a major cost. SELECT DISTINCT, UPPER,LOWER, ORDER BY,
GROUP BY, among other things don't work on CLOB columns.
Without creating many resource robbing UDF's to emulate functionality,

I'm sorry but I must have this "column" in the query, it's vital for
required sorting order (you have to sort image_location_country in
alphanumeric order, however, that column can also be null, BUT all
NON-NULL fields MUST BE FIRST before all NULL fields!)
