I am new to mysql and would appreciate someone helping me out with this
converting this statement from postgresql to mysql.
INSERT INTO ossurjoinquesti ons SELECT *, RANDOM() as random_sort,
trunc(114435546 0, 0) as instanceid FROM ossurcommonques tions WHERE tid =
'3';
So far I have
INSERT INTO ossurjoinquesti ons( tid, question, ans1, ans2, ans3, ans4, ans5,
corans, image_path, random_sort, instanceid )
SELECT tid, question, ans1, ans2, ans3, ans4, ans5, corans, image_path
FROM ossurcommonques tions
WHERE tid = '3'
What I am not sure how to do is add RAND() as random_sort or trunc($var,0)
as instanceid.
Thank you for any help. 1 1236 This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

I have a scenario where two tables are in a One-to-Many relationship
and I need to move the data from the Many table to the One table so
that it becomes a One-to-One relationship.
I need to salvage the records from the many table and without going
into detail, one of the reasons I can't do the opposite as
there are records in the ONE table that I need to keep even if they
don't have any child records in the MANY table.
Below I created...

I have found rules to compare mine to but people limit the resulting
insert to one record (the WHERE generally limits the result of the

I want to be able to generate SQL statements that will go through a list of
data, effectively row by row, enquire on the database if this exists in the
selected table- If it exists, then the colums must be UPDATED, if not, they
must be INSERTED.
Logically then, I would like to SELECT * FROM <TABLE>
WHERE ....<Values entered here>, and then IF FOUND
UPDATE <TABLE> SET .... <Values entered here> ELSE
INSERT INTO <TABLE> VALUES <Values...

Hello all,
We have run into what appears to be a problem with rules and subselects in
postgres 7.4.1. We have boiled it down to the following test case. If
anyone has any thoughts as to why this would be happening, we would
appreciate feedback.
We have tested on 7.3.4, 7.3.6 and 7.4.1 and all exhibit the same behavior.
Test case one tries to populate table2 from table1 with records that are not
in table2 already. Table2 gets...

So I have some data that I want to put into a table. If the
row already exists (as defined by the primary key), I would
like to update the row. Otherwise, I would like to insert
the row.
I've been doing something like

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
