I am using SQL Server 7 SP4.
I have created a blank database in which i am trying to import using DTS
wizard all tables/views/stored procedures without any DATA (records).
I keep getting different errors when importing the views and/or the SPs.
I've tried many things unsuccessfully.
Now even after the error msg of the DTS, i see some of the SPs under
their previous names.

Data Source Configuration Wizard (VS2005)
Is it a good practice to have a single DataSet for a DataSource even though
there is large number of tables in a database, or is it better to configure
multiple DataSets using Data Source Configuration Wizard?
Thanks

When I create a DataSet using Data Source Configuration wizard the connection
string gets added to application configuration, public read only property
gets created in settings class and TableAdapter uses this public property to
initialize the connection property.
But why does the connection string get hard coded into InitConnection
routine of TableAdapter when I create DataSet using DataSet configuration
wizard. The connection string...

I have just installed VS Net 2005, and SQL Server 2005. Previously I had
tried Visual Web Developer 2005, and I was able to follow the tutorials. I
transferred some of the example websites to VS 2005.
However, I can not get the ASPNet Configuration to work.
In VS Net 2005, when I click on the ASPNet Configuration icon, I get (after
a very long pause) the first screen with the tabs. I click on Security. ( I
tried clicking first on the...

Hey
I am trying to get some practice on VS 2005 TableAdapter Configuration
Wizard. I wrote a Database project and include a couple of stored procedures
one of which was an insert procedure. The insert procedure obviously accepts
a few parameters (the values to insert).
I have a problem creating the connection in the TableAdapter Configuration
Wizard for the insert procedure. Basically I cannot map the parameters to the
database table...

Hi Everyone,
I just started to create new windows application in Visual Basic 2005, so i use the Data Source Configuration Wizard to add new data source connection. I choose the Microsoft Access Database file using .NET Framework Data Provider for OLE DB. As I follow the Connection wizard says "Test connection succeeded" but when i press the OK button to finish the connection wizard it gave me an error prompt that says "The system cannot...

Hello,
I am able to successfully compile/link/and execute my v2005 applications using
v2008 (after the v2008 automatically converts the v2005 configurations
settings).
I created a "generic" v2008 app wizard program. I changed the configuration
settings of the new v2008 to match the "generic" app wizard configuration
settings. The applications compile/link OK, but the programs do not execute
correctly.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
