Recovering deleted rows

Hi,

I have a table with a primary key defined with the auto_increment
option.

I've incidentally deleted some rows from this table and I would like to
know if it is possible to recover that data. It is still lying around
in the mysql files?

Many thank for any information.

Bye

In general, no. There is no "undelete" statement.

Maybe in some fragmentary form, but deleted data are likely to be
overwritten by subsequent database activity.

Here's a page that gives a couple of other tips:

Any ideas how I can recover a job that has been deleted (?) from SQL 7.0 ? We had one which was used on a regular basis which has now ceased to exists. I've spoken to the people responsible for the server and was met by blank faces (as usual). They have no idea when it was deleted, by whom or when. To make matters worse, they don't think they can get it off the backup set without a major bit of work to the server. Suprisingly, none of the...

I don't know how it happened. I have hundreds of hours worth of work invested in a file I foolishly named DB9.mdb. I was intending on renaming the file soon. But I neglected to do so before getting caught up in a new project. When I did, I forgot about the filename I was working under. One day, and I don't know how long ago it was, I deleted db*.mdb and db*.ldb from the development directory as a routine part of disk housekeeping.

Hi all. I'm struggeling with a problem. I trying to do something very simple. I have a DataSet containing two tables TableA and TableB. I use TableA.GetChildren("relationName") in order to get an DataRow array containing all children rows of TableA in TableB. Then I'm sending the DataRow array as parameter into a DataAdapter.Update method. The problem is that the DataRow array doesn't contain the rows I called

Postgresql 7.4.5 The following VACUUMs were run within a couple of minutes of each other completing. This table concerned is a table that has not been changed in a long time. (a month) There were open transactions at the time the vacuum was run. These were created by having PHP running with postgresql. At least that is what I have managed to find so far. and disabling PHP in apache removes them. postgres 7588 0.0 0.4 50324 3168 ? ...

Someone here at work was out and her backup, apparently, erased a very important table. While the Help Desk is trying to locate a backup tape, I was wondering if there is a way to get the table back without having to find the backup of the database (if a backup tape can be found). Thanks, Sheldon Potolsky

Hi, (my code is @ the bottom of this message) I have a piece of code that runs the rows of a dataset until it finds the one needed. When he finds it, I delete that row and start all over again with the next row I'm looking for, however. I then get this error: System.Data.DeletedRowInaccessibleException: Deleted row information cannot be accessed through the row.

I'm working in Visual Studio 2005 and C#. I have a DataTable with many rows. The user can delete a row. After the row is deleted, I'd like to column values for the deleted row, but any attempt to access column values results in the following exception: {"Deleted row information cannot be accessed through the row."} My understanding is that a copy of the original row is still in there. Any suggestions on how to access??

Hi all, I need to display DataRows with RowState.Deleted inside DataGridView, in a way that such rows have strikethrough font. Here is the screenshot how it should look like: http://www.svedic.org/DeletedRows.JPG The screenshot is from some unrelated C++ application with closed source, I want to achieve similar thing in .NET/WinForms.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
