BLOB Update failing on SQLParamData

Hi,

trying to update a BLOB column using SQLParamData / SQLPutData and it all
works fine until the BLOB is > ~700KB. I'm putting it in 1KB chunks, but I
have also tried 2KB without success. The SQLPutdata succeeds, but when the
final SQLParamData is called SQL_ERROR is returned and the log file shows:

DIAG [S1000] [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-4.1.8-standard]Lost connection
to MySQL server during query (2013)

my.cnf cantains the following:

set-variable = key_buffer_size =16M
set-variable = max_allowed_pac ket=1M

I'm stumped, an suggestions gratefully received.

I have a Perl app that stores pictures in a blob. Now I want to load a thumbnail version of the picture into another blob column, but the update fails with a syntax error. I'm able to insert the new record, with blobs, into a separate table, but can't update the original record. Is it not possible to update blobs?

Hi, I have a blob field in a mysql database table. I want to copy a blob from one record to another. I am having trouble transferring the data via a php variable. Maybe I need to addslashes or convert to Hex or something. I've tried a few things but can't quite get it. Here is simplified code. mysql_select_db($dbname, $connection);

I'm implementig a java web application using MySQL as database. The main function of the application is basically to redistribuite documents. Those documents (PDF, DOC with an average size around 2Mb) are stored in BLOB column. The amount of documents for the first year should not exceed 5/6 Giga, but I cannot make prevision for the next years. Those documents are mainly just accessed (update and delete are not so

I am having my first experience using BLOB as a row in a table. I am using it to insert graphics for labels we print. I have no problem inserting into and select from the table. The graphic is being stored correctly. Whenever I attempt to delete a row from my application I get the following error. SQL0911N The current transaction has been rolled back because of a deadlock or timeout. Reason code "68". SQLSTATE=40001

Can someone provide me the simple syntax necessary to insert or update to a row containing a single BLOB column, where the BLOB data will be obtained from a file? This is on a linux installation. The table has 2 INTs and 1 BLOB column. So, I've scoured various docs and such, and the closest I've come up with is some sort of animal that looks like this: db2 load from /tmp/myblobfile of asc method L (1 780) insert into......

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
