Selecting the inverse of distinct

Hi all.
I would like to select the fields that exists more than one time.

Description of my table is:

Create table MYTABLE (CLASS_ID char(2),STUDENT _ID char(2));

I need to select the students that are in more than one class!

Thanks!

If I read this one right, how about:

SELECT COUNT(*) AS C, STUDENT_ID FROM MYTABLE GROUP BY STUDENT_ID HAVING
C > 1

This is a PHP / MySQL kind of question. I am making a script which simply pulls information from a database and displays it on screen. BUT there will be entries where fields could be the same, and I want to eliminate the duplicate entries when it displays it on screen. I would use, SELECT DISTINCT 'address1' FROM orders ....which does work, but only gives me one field. I also need to get a

I have a data table that lists a series of items in my database. In my user form, I want the user to be able to filter by a number of criteria (e.g. location, contract, date modified, etc). Other than modified date, all my filters are selected via combo boxes. I would like to have the combo boxes update so that if there are no items available in the currently filtered list for a given selection, that selection will not appear in the...

I am getting unwanted duplicate rows in my result set, so I added the DISTINCT keyword to my outermost SELECT. My working query then returned the following message: DB2 SQL error: SQLCODE: -214, SQLSTATE: 42822, SQLERRMC: CASE...;ORDER BY;2 Message: An expression in the ORDER BY clause in the following position, or starting with "CASE..." in the "ORDER BY" clause is not valid. Hi, I want to join two tables together and only select the rows that don't have the same customer first name and last name (see my code below). When I run my code with the DISTINCT keyword, it still returns me all of the rows probably because it requires each column to be the same in order to find distinct rows, but I want the rows just as long as the customer first and last names are different from other customers: use AppDb SELECT...

In Visual Studio 2005, I have my DataSet filled with several static tables (they might get changed weekly, but that's about it). With one of these tables in the DataSet, is it possible to select distinct items? Ex: I want to fill a tree with a list of job titles, and the Employee table isalready filled with all of our employee records. Is there a way I could do something like this below?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
