Hello all,
We have 3 instances on the same server, prod, test and dev. Is it possible
to increase the max_connection limit just for one instance, or would
changing the limit effect all 3 ?

I saw a previous thread on this for beta2. It sounded like this was a
bug that was to be fixed in beta3, but I'm still having this problem
with beta4.

Hallo,
I am using PostgreSQL 7.4 on UltraSparc machine and I have a touble with
max_connections param.
I must set only max_connections to 8, when I set more, I got error for shared
memory.
Most connection is from J2EE application server and here is no problem, I am
using connection pooling and I have defined maximum connections for each
datasource here, but there is an old application written in php too, and here is
a problem, sometime...

We migrated to 8.1 from 7.2 this weekend. Everything ran ok over the
weekend, but we have a light user load then (about 200 users.) Today
when we had close to 600 users connecting and running applications,
the db2syscs.exe process started gobbling up memory until it hit about
1.7 gigs (which seems to be the limit from what I've read) then it
started crapping out.. We have shrunk the buffer pools to much lower
that they used to be in 7,...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
