Hi all:
The Stream object from WebRequest.GetResponseStream() is non-seekable.
How can I convert this stream to a byte array?
For ordinary Stream (seekable), I can use StreamObject.Read(myByteArray,
0, myLength)

Looking at the language spec, I can't find a statement
about the byte order for value types, such as int, float,
etc. Are they guaranteed to be little-endian or big-
endian? I know that, on a little-endian machine, the byte
order is little-endian. But what if I run C# on a big-
endian machine, say, using Mono?
Does the C# language (or IL) make any guarantees as to the
byte order?

Hi ALL,
I want to display in a RichTextBox the Binary Large Objects data
coming from database. If I have one record its not a problem I convert
it to byte array and pass it on in a stream as a byte array and then
call Loadfile method of RichTextBox and pass the stream. This works
BUT IF
I have more records I have to create a loop and some how pass the
concatenated byte array and then pass it in a stream. I do this with

I have found a class that compresses and uncompresses data but need
some help with how to use part of it below is the deflate method which
compresses the string that I pass in, this works OK. At the end of
this message is the inflate method this is where I get stuck I know
that I need a byte array but because I am decompressing a string I
have no idea of how big the byte array will need to be in the end (the
inflate and deflate methods...

reading from byte over a memory-stream back to the Bitmap object.
Please help, I'm really stuck here!
Here's the code I use (Sorry for a long...

It might just be my tired eyes, but I can't see what is wrong in the
following:
I have a byte array filled with random data (with a fixed seed to make
reproducable); I then compress and decompress this using the 2.0 GZip
compression classes - however, as you see, the last byte is getting dropped.
Any ideas? Almost certainly me having a blond moment ;-(

I'm trying to decrypt a byte array in java that was encrypted in C#. I don't get any error messages, just a result that's completely not what I was hoping for.
I think I am using the same type of algorithm, initialization vector (IV), mode, padding, key etc, but I just don't get the two languages to "understand each other", or, in other words, I must be missing out on something crucial.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
