Have you tried to declare and create the ActiveX control programatically ? What did you searches on MSDN reveal?

I'm pretty sure CF 2.0 does. You can embed an activex control in IE but not pocket IE IIRC

Is it possible to use the databrid as the flexgrid. I am using vb .net in a smart device application. I have a part number being entered by the user, I then want to search the grid for that part number, if it is not there I want to add it. I also want the ability for the user to remove rows from the grid. The first problem is that this data is not in any database. The second is that I am developing a smart device application which...

Hello I am using asynchronous delegates to make a call to a COM ActiveX object, but even though the call occurs on a separate thread, my UI is still blocking. If i put the thread to sleep in my delegate call, the application is well behaved (no UI freeze), but the call to the com object causes the UI to lock up Do I have to manage calls to an ActiveX object differently than using the BeginInvoke and a callback A sample of the code I...

I'm using a 3rd party ActiveX control which has it's own constructor and two very methods (which ultimately sends out messages on the server's USB or serial port). I am trying to run this ActiveX component in my ASP.NET applicaiton. For now, I'm testing this application via localhost connection. At first, within the Page_Load method, I successfully instantiate it using the constructor: try { oABC = new ABCClass();

I have Visual C#.net and got visual studio 2003 with it as a package. My question is, can I create programs for Smart Devices? In the help file it walks you through it, but it tells you to create a new project and click smart device. The only templates it lists under "Visual C# Projects are: Windows Application Class Library ASP.NET Web Application ASP.NET Web Service ASP.NET Mobile Web Application

I'm trying to create a custom control for a smart device, and all the walkthroughs on msdn list a "Windows Control Library" project type under the smart device application wizard. I don't have this project type option. The only thing I could find on msdn was at: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/vbcon/html/vbconwindowscontrollibrarytemplate.asp but this told me: "Note This project type is not...

I just downloaded a activex control that was written in C# and tried to view it on my PDA's Internet Explorer. At my regular PC it displayed just fine, but nothing showed up on the pda. I have tried realise an ActiveX control for my project in VC+++ (VS2005) but it did not work at all. Since I am new in to this sort of programming, I could not trace...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
