Hi!
I have got a webpage, which uses a navigation bar, defined through an
external css-file. This bar has a border-top and a border-bottom.
On only one page, I would like to let border-bottom disappear.
Is ist possible to write this into the html-source to make the border-
bottom disappear?

Hi All
How do I make it so that when a user clicks in a search text field, the
default entry (in this case "Search") is removed automatically - they
are then faced with a blank search box and can type straight away
Thanks in advance

Sorry for the repost, but this has been driving me mad for the past few
days. There must be a simple solution.
There are many other posts about this problem upon an application exit,
but my problem is slightly different as my application does exit.......
I have a tray icon that wont disappear after calling
trayIcon.visible = false;

I've got a gridview with BoundFields and TemplateFields and a
linkbutton with a CommandName="Select". When I click on this
linkbutton the TemplateField objects disappear on postback but the
BoundFields still have their data. Also the SelectedIndexChanged
event is never hit. Why is this happening?

When I want to select page 2 in my grid view control, the grid view disappear.

In my asp.net 2.0 web application, in Web.config, I have
timeout="30", s l i d i n g E x p i r a t i o n = "true"
for the Authentication element. I suppose, this means that as long as
we don't let a 30 min elapse without making any request, the session
should stay alive, right?
But I notice that quite often, the application throws out...

I am using Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript to throw up a
Javascript alert box. When I click OK on the alert box, all the
controls on my page disappear and I don't understand why. I can View
Source in the browser and see all the controls so I know they are
there, yet they vanish once I click OK. This is happening on a
Content page. ...

I have a function foo, shown below. Is it a good idea to test each
argument against my assumption? I think it is safer. However, I
notice that people usually don't test the validity of arguments.
For example,
#define MAX_SIZE 100000
int foo(double *x, unsigned ling sz, int option)

I have a page the uses a form to pass a postcode to another page and I
want to test it against an SQL Injection. What would be a safe (i.e NO

I have limited the field to 10 chars so I know i would have to test it
with a larger field because a hacker could just...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
