You need an intel mac if you do wish to use the OSX or if you wait for a little while there could be some succour. Apple could come up with something, given the demand.

Apple doesn't release any OS for windows PC. You can use virtualization software Like VMWare to run MAC OSX in Windows PC. You can browse osx86 project which was posted by NitinSawant. And you also see the video of "How To Install Mac OS X Lion 10.7 On Windows 7 Using VMWare Workstation 8". Here is the video link

@NitinSawant Gave you a good starting link. While some will tell you to buy a Mac, I, for one, understand the financial issues with that. Before I bought my first Mac, I was running OSx on a Dell laptop (yes, not a Mac machine). It worked just fine, the only thing I had to do was hunt down the wireless driver for my Intel Wireless, but that was about it.

You will need to hunt around for the appropriate 10.4.X version of the software. I believe I found a version of 10.4.6 in iso form that I used. Once you have that image and can burn it to disc, you should be able to install it pretty easily (IMHO).

Regards,

Having compatible hardware in a Hackintosh (a PC running Mac OS X) makes the difference between success and failure. If you're interested in installing Mac OS X on your PC, it's important to know what hardware is compatible and what isn't. Hackintosh compatibility varies, depending on whether your computer was self-built or prebuilt, and whether it's a desktop PC or a laptop. (If you don't know what hardware your current computer has, use a program like CPU-Z.)

Bottom line: would like to get a weblog and bulletin board going. Would like to use phpBB2 and movabletype. I have movabletype working using mysql. Apache and php were on my linux red hat 7.2 out of the box it seems. hello.php worked with the original setup. Somewhere along the time of installing MySQL database & DBD::mysql and a php-mysql rpm my hello.php stopped working and is now just showing text-source in the web browser.

I'm developing a webapp that needs to track users and provide each user with a view of their own data. In other words, it goes beyond merely protecting certain areas of the site. The application needs to know WHO is logged in and show them their own blog, uploaded documents, reminders, etc. I'm looking for a free component (library, class, script, module, whatever you want to call it) that will help me accomplish this. It should allow...

Happy New Year! I am looking around for an MS-Access based database that will help me manage the collections of 20-30 small loans. I need to be able to create amortization schedules when the loan is first made, and then I need to be able to apply payments to principal and interest as the payments come in. Don't need multi-user capability or Web access. Just want to install the thing, maybe do some minimal customization to suit my...

I'm developing an application in C# that needs to run as a Windows service. I'm looking for an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to host my application. Since I'm on a shoe-string budget, I can only afford using a shared server and not a dedicated one. The problem is that most ISPs don't allow you to install your application as a Windows service. Unfortunately, my application must run as a service because it must always be up and running...

I have some Windows applications developed using VS2005/VB to which I want to add a licensing system. I am looking for a system that can provide the following capabilities: - Allow users to install and run the app for a trial period (e.g. 20 days) - During the trial period, include a "nagger" message and an option to "Purchase License" - The "Purchase License" option would create a machine dependent keycode (baseed on HDD S/N, etc.) and...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
