Linux compile kernel errors

1 New Member
Hello!

I am having a trouble of compiling my kernel here.
When I finished selecting the options and typed in "make".
The error occurs like bellow.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. root@beaglebone:/usr/src/kernel# make
  2.   CHK     include/generated/uapi/linux/version.h
  3.   CHK     include/generated/utsrelease.h
  4. make[1]: `include/generated/mach-types.h' is up to date.
  5. make[1]: *** No rule to make target `kernel/bounds.c', needed by `kernel/bounds.s'.  Stop.
  6. make: *** [prepare0] Error 2
  7.
I am trying to load the ath6kl module on BeagleBone Black board with Angstrom.

Please help me with this problem.
Thank you!

Anyone have any idea how to get the installer up and running. I have had 10G installed on this box before. We scrapped the box, recreated it, and now cannot install Oracle. Tells me Compat-db-4.0.14.5 compat-libstdc++-xxxxxx not installed, but they are. I cannot even open the runistaller at this stage let alone get the database up! Any idea's?

I've downloaded FP9 for DB2 V8 for Linux (MI00105.tar). But it is not possible to install. It says I should get an image for the kernel 2.6. In the readme I found, I should install MI00117.tar. Where to find? Regards, -- Burkhard Schultheis Tele Data Electronic, Wagnerstr. 10, D-76448 Durmersheim Email: schultheis@tde-online.de Phone: +49 7245 9287-21

I'm working on a custom assembly and I'm trying to figure out the best approach to handling known constraints within the assembly, once compiled, to alert the developer at compile time of a potential issue. For example, in the assembly I would like to add a constraint that states a particular property member of the class can not be equal to one other property. In standard coding I can throw an exception during run-time, but I would rather...

Hi Group, I've searched the Web for precompilers that compile ASPX/ASCX pages just like it can be done with JSPs, but so far, I've only found approaches targetted at increasing the performance. What I'd like to do this for, however, is discovering compile-time errors during my normal build. Currently, just a typo in a Property name goes unnoticed until the page is hit the first time which is not particularly satisfying (this is like...

Hi, I am trying to compile kernel 2.6.15-1.54 of FC5. in BUILD/2.6.15-1.2054/README it says gcc should be above 3.2.0. I have gcc 4.1.0 but I am getting a lot of warning messages like: CC fs/xfs/xfs_bmap.o fs/xfs/xfs_bmap.c: In function ‘xfs_bmap_alloc’: fs/xfs/xfs_bmap.c:2326: warning: ‘rtx’ is used uninitialized in this function when I do make and it gives error when I do 'make modules'. As I'm learning PHP, I'm making a fair number of mistakes in syntax. In perl, you can turn on reading these errors from the browser by adding this: use CGI::Carp 'fatalsToBrowser'; Is there something like this in PHP? Or do I need to find the php.ini file and look to see where the error

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
