Thanks for the quick reply.Do you meant remote debugging??if we ssh to a remote machine with command as 'gdb',how will i invoke a process in my target machine. iam not sure about that yar.I searched in net and tried below steps in my environment. But i couldnt connect.Below are the steps i did

Suppose A is machine which has VM ware OS insatlled with ip address (x.y.z.w) and B a linux machine with ip (b.c.d.e )having gdb installed in it.Commands i ran in both machines A & B.i am not sure what that means exactly.

A
----
1.gdb server b.c.d.e:15000 MegaCli /*MegaCli is the name of binary */

B
---

target remote x.y.z.w:15000

Result was connection timed out.As B couldnt connect to A.

If you have not meant this, could you pls tell me in a bit detail. What steps should i follow to debug?
In short my question is "How to debug a process in Vmware machine using a gdb program installed in Linux machine"

Does anybody know if there are any issues installing VC6 after VC7? Right now I have VC5, VC7 and VC7.1 running on the machine, and they run quite happily together. But they were installed in this order. TIA, David Wilkinson

I'm attempting to install Python 2.5.2 (python-2.5.2.amd64.msi) on my Vista SP1 x64 system, but the installer always crashes with a "Windows Installer has stopped working" error after clicking Next on the initial screen. I've tried the following so far: 1. x86 and x64 versions 2. Manually reinstalling Windows Installer 4.5 3. Forcing msiexec to run as administrator

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
