You may want to check this documentation. I tested for a bit and found this command:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. :map <F10> a<C-R>=strftime("%Y-%m-%d")<CR><Esc>

I'm realizing I didn't frame my question well. What's ***TOTALLY COMPELLING*** about Ruby over Python? What makes you jump up in your chair and scream "Wow! Ruby has *that*? That is SO FRICKIN' COOL!!! ***MAN*** that would save me a buttload of work and make my life sooooo much easier!" As opposed to minor differences of this feature here, that feature there. Variations on style are of no interest to me. I'm coming at this from a...

Hi, I was wondering what would be the most elegant way for creating a Python class wrapper for a command line utility, which takes three types of arguments: 1. options with values (--foo=bar) 2. boolean options (--squibble) 3. data lines (MUNGE:x:y:z:frob)

Hello all, Is it possible that we setup the password in the pg_dump command line instead of let users input it through prompt command. E.g., pg_dump test -c -d --host=localhost -U testUser1 --file='a.dmp' --no-privileges Thanks a lot! Ly

I am trying to incorparate the win zip command line processor in my code on an Access 2003 database form. The code that I downloaded made a call to the windows api. It requires that you use short names because it works in the command window. The call is to apiGetShortPathName from the kernel. It works great for returning the short name for the xls file I am zipping. But then when I use the same path and name with a zip extension is...

I declared a static std::map<string, intin one.cpp at the module level. This is only used inside the file and I did it to avoid global namespace pollution The file one.o goes into the library archive mylib.a Then when I try to compile file two.cpp, which links to mylib.a, the linker spits out incomprehensible messages about undefined symbols. I understood them enough to know that it's complaining about methods of the map class being...

I have a command line php (not mine, from cartocamp) which i can run on command line by issuing the following commands: cd C:\ms4w\apps\cartoweb3 php cw3setup.php --clean php cw3setup.php --install --config-from-file path_conf_file/conf_file.properties What it does is clean the folder system and setup a map application again. I wrote php code that creates this map application, creates the config_file and a batch file. I then wrote the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
