Background information:
---------------------------------
in order to monitor mainboard sensory data
as fan speeds, temperatures, applications
like SpeedFan http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php
or MBM http://mbm.livewiredev.com/
can be used.
Both of the mentioned apps expose data got
from the hardware in a shared memory area.

Hi,
What I would like to do is to read all kind of sensor data out of the
BMC (Baseboard Management Controller), lets take for example the
processor temperature.
I'm developing with C on a FreeBSD kernel. It's an Intel SE7210TP1-E
TPS motherboard. It supports IPMI 2.0. And the mBMC chip on the
motherboard is from National Semiconductor PC87431 interated
management controller.

Thank you in advance for any and all assistance, it is GREATLY appreciated.
Two questions;
1. Is there a way in VB.NET 2005 to query a motherboard to see if there are
certain sensors? i.e. CPU temp sensor, Fan speed sensor, hard drive temp
sensors etc?
2. Is there a way to Get the information, if it's available into VB.NET 2005?

Hello.
I'm developing and testing a web application using VS.NET 2003, VB, .NET
Framework 1.1.4322, ASP.NET 1.1.4322 and IIS5.1 on a WIN XP Pro, SP2
computer. I'm using a web form.
For a datagrid control, i used the Caption property. It displays fine on
the datagrid and allows me to run the program.
But, when i view the HTML for the web form, it shows this error at the

Please Help??
I have an A7v8X ASUS motherboard. Whilst waiting for a new hard drive to
arrive to replace the previously failed one (even though it was only 2 weeks
old) I changed the CPU fan (and heatsink) for a quieter one. When I plugged i
the new one the computer powered up but wouldn't boot. Fans were turning,
could just about make out a sound or too from the hard drive (not sure) but
the monitor was lifeless apart from the standby...

Hello,
I recently installed Xubuntu and really liked it. But on my 256 MB RAM PC :( it is pretty slow and so I feel like I am on a really slow machine.
I dont like (or crave for) graphics. I only want to use my linux box for mostly programming. I want a full speed + stable + linux system. And so please suggest me low memory (i.e. fastest) application upgrades (e.g. Window manager) so that I can get most out of my Xubuntu PC.
Also, I...

Hey,
Today i came across a computer with unspecified motherboard. Nothing in BIOS. I tried PCWizard, Sys Info and unknown devices. The motherboard model is totally unspecified. I checked the motherboard physically and nothing there. The problem is i want to install sound and i dont know the sound device. If you can give me some idea, the hardware info looks like this:
chipset: i440bx/zx-w977tf
Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC...

- My windows install/apps/games were eaten by a virus that replicates into and
wrecks .exe files
- I made an Ubuntu 9.10 CD on my friends pc, and a Xubuntu 9.10 DVD on this PC while running the Ubuntu one.
- Both Linux Disks give a grub failed to install error at 95%
- I have a RAID 0 array

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
