Im currently on red hat 7.3 running postgres. Everything is running fine.
Obviously, Im going to have to upgrade to RHEL 3 in order to receive
updates, etc. Does anyone know of any problems with postgres running on
RHEL 2.1 or RHEL 3?

I have some programs running on Red Hat Linux 7.3 working with IBM DB2
V6.1 (with all the FixPacks) on my old machine.
I have just installed IBM DB2 V8.1 on this (new) machine running Red Hat
Enterplise Linux 3 ES, and applied FixPack fp5_mi00069.tar to it. After

We are migrating an application to DB2 on Itanium and have 1 Java
function. We are running RHEL AS 3.2 and have been able to upgrade
Java on our x86 environment to IBMJava2 141 with no problems. I have
not been able to find a copy of IBMJava2 141 for IA64 which makes me
wonder whether it exists. If it does exist can someone tell me where.
Otherwise, what are my options in the IA64 world? will IBMJava 131-9
work with DB2 on IA64? If...

Hi,
we have a little problem with the dependencies of an application (MKS)
that we want to upgrade to a new version.
The application now runs on a Suse Linux 7.3 system with 2.4 kernel and
DB2 7.2. We want to upgrade this application to the recent version and
move it to new host. This system will be RedHat EL 4 with kernel 2.6 and
DB2 8.2.

Hi there,
I've checked the supported environments list from IBM website
(http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/db2/linux/validate/), there does
not mention about DB2 UDB V8.1 on RHEL 4.
I know that I can install the latest fixpak for DB2 UDB V8.1 and then
to become DB2 UDB V8.2. So, I just wonder to know: can I install DB2
UDB V8.1 on RHEL 4, then to update the latest fixpak to become DB2 UDB
V8.2? Does it support that?

difference in the return value of glob().
Given a non-existant directory "/tmp/a", and the following line of

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
