Hello,
I'm using the logging package from python 2.3 on RH linux.
Everything in the test program below works fine if we just use the log
configuration with 'logging.basicConfig'. For the example below we get
the expected output:
ERROR:loggerName:error1 msg
ERROR:loggerName:error2 msg

Hi,
Everytime a job starts it puts logging into the system (application) logging
files.
(Messages)
How can I prevent SQL from doing that.

I'm about to add some logging calls to a library I have. How can I
prevent that the script that uses the library prints
'No handlers could be found for logger "comtypes.client"' when the
script runs?
I would like to setup the logging so that there is no logging when
nothing is configured, and no warning messages are printed.

Team,
I am developing a web service. In testing in on my enw PC, I am expecting to
see exceptions thrown appear on my browser. Instead I am getting an HTTP 500
Internal Server Error page and I am not seeing my exception details. The
web.config file being used has the setting <customErrors mode="Off"/>. This
should allow me to see the detailed exception info. On a different computer
- same code - same web config - the exception details...

Is there an app.config setting I can add or a System.Diagnostic.Process
property I can tweak to cause someone else's CLR 2.0 console app to not show
a base CLR dialog box offering to debug the app when an unhandled exception
is reached? On production systems, I still get a dialog box with Debug /
Close buttons. IMO, this completely violates the fundamentals of what a
console app should be, but that's beside the point. I just want to...

I am setting up handlers to log DEBUG and above to a rotating file and
ERROR and above to console. But if any of my code calls a logger
(e.g., logging.error("foo")) before I setup my handlers, the logging
system will create a default logger that *also* emits logs, which I
can't seem to get rid of. Is there a way I can suppress the creation
of this default logger, or remove it when I 'm setting up my handlers?
Thanks.

In the Python 2.5 Library Reference, section 14.5.3 (Logging to
multiple destinations), an example is given of logging to both a file
and the console. This is done by using logging.basicConfig() to
configure a log file, and then calling
logging.getLogger('').addHandler(console) to add the console.
However, in section 14.5.4 (Sending and receiving logging events
across a network), a call is made to
rootLogger.addHandler(socketHandler),...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
