Hello! Curious if anyone could give me a hand. I wrote this PHP
script with makes a simple connection to a mysql database called
firstdb and just pulls back the results and displays on the webpage.
Here is the script.
I appreciate any light that could be shed on the script and why I would
get the errors.
Thank you,

Hi all I am working on a log in script for my webpage.
I have the username and the password stored in a PostgreSQL database.
The first I do is I make a html form, where the user can type in his
username and code, when this is done I want to run the
script(testifcodeisokay) that verifies that the code and username are the
right ones ( that means if they match the particular entered username and
password) If they are then I want to load...

I am working on an ASP page that writes to several databases, ranging
from MDBs to x-base.
One of the tasks involves using an existing highest value from the DB
and incrementing it before inserting a new record.
I am using Application.Lock and .Unlock together with an application
variable to negotiate access to the DB routine to one session (user)
at a time. This is to ensure that the ID numbers are cleanly
incremented, and that no...

Hi,
I am trying to call a perl program (that connects a webserver database) from a php program via a webbrowser. For example : http://development.noaa.gov/test_exec.php?dataid=8313. The test_exec.php script that calls the perl program is as follows:
<?php
error_log("inside test_exec \n");
$dataid = $_GET;
$cmd = "/usr/bin/perl /........../db_connect_psql_RS3.pl ". $dataid;
error_log("dataid = $dataid\n");
exec($cmd);
?>

I am no PHP programmer. At my current job I made it known that I was no
PHP programmer during the interview. Still they have given me a script
to write with the understanding that it will take me a while (This
information is just for general knowledge as I don't want anyone
thinking I am trying to be dishonest with my intentions. Also, I do not
portray myself as something I am not. I am a beginner.)
Anyway, what the script needs to do is...

Hi all,
I am comming along with all this Linus/DB2/scripting business...I am no
longer scared of it!! (LOL). But,
I need to create a .ksh script that does a REORGCHK and output only tables
recommended for reorg.
My goal is to reorgchk and run reorgs based on entries in this reorg file as
shown in the example below.
I have tried my hand at the following failing script and hope that gurus here
can throw me a lifeline of examples on how to...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
