ASP Files getting saved as .tmp

Hi,

I am using Microsoft Visual Interdev 6.0 editor to edit asp files, each time
when i modify and save my File1.asp file, along with File1.asp one more file
of format ve-71.tmp in that sequence(ve-72.tmp.....ve7F.tmp,ve-81.tmp) are
getting created. I am not able to delete these .tmp files.
I restarted IIS server but of no use, still can't delete them.
When i open these .tmp files in a notepad it contains the asp source code
that was written for File1.asp.

Can someone tell me why this problem is happening on my server machine. Is
there any remedy for this.

Please Help.

Regards
Venkat

The fact is the file extension is .asp but the language that was used
both at client and server end was Javascript.
I guess i posted to the right group. And i don't think if there is any
language called asp, generally when people
say asp it means they are either using VBScript or JavaScript
internally or combination of both.

But your question is not about the language.
It is about the working of vis interdev, which has its own NG:
