Validating HTML Form in Ajax

How to validate the HTML form in Ajax instead of validating in javascript...
Assume for a normal registration form and validate this by Ajax...

Basically, use server-side code to validate the form input values. Make the request via Ajax and the server-side code should return either success or the error messages to be parsed on the client-side.

What have you managed so far?

my problem is posting the form input values to the Ajax..

I am a begginner in Ajax..
Thats why i need that..
