Date formatting

Hi,
I am transforming an XML file to XHTML using XSLT.
Iam reading the date form XML file in yyyy-mm-dd format.
But i want the date to be in dd/mm/yyyy format.
Can any one suggest me how to proceed. Can anyone please give me the javascript function to transform that.

I might use XML to re-format the date. It might be easier.
